Andy Robert - Principal Director
Andy
Robert formed Face 2 Face Business Mentors in October 2007 to fill a much-needed
gap of assisting the small business and not-for-profit community in improving
their business performance and planning for future growth. All too often
this assistance is out of their reach due to financial constraints, poor
understanding in small business culture and lack of ‘hands-on’
based skills in management accounting and information systems.
What is most important to Andy is that small business owners/leaders achieve what they want (and should deserve) from their businesses.
Andy has over 25 years experience in a broad range of accounting roles and advanced skills in management accounting, information analysis, end-of-year report preparation and all aspects of bookkeeping, gained in a variety of industry sectors such as not-for-profit and large national companies. The last 13 years were in senior management roles such as Financial Controller – WA/NT, WA Commercial Manager & Finance Manager.
With this level of experience, Andy understands the compliance obligations and commercial issues facing businesses today, with the ability to develop reporting that is specifically suited to an individual business.
Never afraid to ‘roll up the shirt sleeves’ and get them dirty, Andy always fully commits to each project by taking ownership of the role and producing quality output for the business owner/leader. Coupled with a sense of humour, down to earth approach, a positive attitude and a high level of professional ethics and integrity, Andy has always been regarded as an asset in everything he pursues.
Andy is experienced in using a number of integrated accounting packages, such as SAP, JDE, Fact, MYOB, Xero, and Reckon as well as having very good, self-taught Excel based skills. He was once a guru in Lotus 1-2-3!
Outside of the business world, Andy enjoys most sports (prefers to participate than watch), 4WD, camping, fishing, squash (known as a legend), hockey, exploring Australia, sampling wine and volunteering in local community organisations.
